About the Event
Join us for a sommelier-led blind tasting clinic with Advanced Sommelier Julie Garton, designed as an immersive introduction to the art and discipline of evaluating wine.
Through a curated flight of six wines tasted blind, participants will explore the deductive tasting method — learning how to assess aromatics, flavours, acidity, tannin, alcohol, body, and flavour intensity in order to identify a wine’s grape variety, origin, and potential quality level.
The session will also highlight where key grape varieties thrive, how regional styles shape a wine’s profile, and how professionals break down what is in the glass with clarity and confidence.
The afternoon includes cheese and charcuterie for snacking alongside the wine tasting.
Guests will leave with a deeper understanding of the analytical framework used by sommeliers, as well as the subtle differences that define wines from around the world.
