About the Event

Comte Louis de Lauriston is a historic Calvados house rooted in Normandy, crafting apple and pear brandies with a strong sense of terroir and traditional distillation methods. The estate is particularly associated with the Domfrontais region, one of Normandy's most distinctive Calvados appellations, prized for incorporating pear alongside apple in the blend — a point of differentiation from more apple-only Calvados styles.

Featured pours:

Lauriston Domfrontais Calvados Poire  — A pear-forward expression of Domfrontais Calvados, where pear plays a starring role alongside apple in the blend (Domfrontais AOC requires a minimum pear content, setting it apart from other Calvados regions). Expect a fragrant, fruit-driven character with the signature orchard elegance the region is known for — a lovely introduction to pear's role in traditional Norman brandy.

Lauriston Domfrontais Fine — A "Fine" Calvados designation denotes a young, lighter-bodied style aged a minimum of 2 years, offering bright, approachable fruit character…
