BACKGROUND: A small family-run estate in the heart of Alsace between Riquewihr and Colmar, 4th generation winemaker Lise Horcher produces beautiful wines of balance and finesse, showing the terroir of some of the most renowned vineyards in Alsace. Lise describes herself as a “passionate farmer and winemaker” and her commitment shows in every wine she makes. Alsatian wines are quintessential food wines pairing well with a range of dishes from hearty and savory to spicy and are made in a unique style. This tasting is a great introduction if you don’t know the wines of Alsace.

DOMAINE HORCHER PINOT NOIR 2020
A specially selected Pinot noir made in highly limited quantity and aged in barriques, redolent of black
currants and black cherries, with spicy oak notes and a lingering finish.
DOMAINE HORCHER PINOT GRIS 2018
A classic and fully developed Pinot gris, it opens with white flowers and orchard fruits on the nose
followed by hints lime, meyer lemon, green apples, and honey. Lively acidity balances the touch of
sweetness.
DOMAINE HORCHER RIESLING GRAND CRU KAEFFERKOPF 2018
Manually harvested with whole cluster pressing and 4 months fermentation on stirred lees, this is a wine
of stunning minerality, dryness, and lovely balance. A classic Alsatian Grand Cru Riesling that drinks
perfectly now but which will continue to develop the incomparable Riesling characteristics over the next
few years.
DOMAINE HORCHER GEWÛRZTRAMINER 2018 GRAND CRU SPOREN
Manually harvested and whole cluster pressed with a 4 month fermentation process with stirred lees,
this is a powerful expression of Alsatian Gewürztraminer like you find nowhere else. Exotic flavors of
confit of quince with spicy and peppery notes this is drinking beautifully but can age ten to fifteen
years.
