Domaine du Moulin au Moines

Domaine Clos duMoulin auxMoines is one of the moreancient domaines in the whole of the Cote

de Beaune, having been farmed by the Abbey of Cluny monks since 962AD followed by the Cisterians for over 6 centuries before it fell into private hands.

The estate was purchased by the Andrieu family in 2008 and, under the guidance of winemaker

Willy Roulandes, the domain immediately converted all the vineyards to organic and biodynamic

farming methods. Willy had years of education in biodynamic farming having been the winemaker

at Domaine deMontillefor number of years under Hubert.

The estate now farms 15 hectares of owned vineyards from within the thesub-appellations of Auxey-

Duresses, Pernand Vergelesses, Monthelie and Pommard, many of which come from monopole holdings including their regional ‘Clos dela Perriere’ bottlings.
