Willy Gianopulos of Freja Cellars, nestled in the heart of the Chehalem Mountains in Oregon's Willamette Valley, is a master of patience and precision in winemaking. His unique approach involves releasing pinot noir not merely one or two years post-harvest, but often after a full 9 years, ensuring each bottle has reached its pinnacle of maturity and depth. Priced accessibly at around $35 a bottle, his mature, 9-year-old pinot noir is a testament to his dedication to quality over convention. Committed to sustainable farming practices, Willy bottles his wines unfined and unfiltered, preserving their natural character and integrity. Please join us for an evening in which Willy will be pouring two pinot noirs from the 2015 vintage as well as his delicious Albarino.
