About Patrick:

Patrick was born in Cognac, France where his family has long been involved in the cognac industry. He developed a natural passion for cognac at a very young age. Following his formal education, Patrick was hired at the French brand Alizé in 1990 where he sharpened his knowledge and experience across several categories including cognac, liqueurs, and beer.

After years in the industry, Patrick joined the Camus company as Master Blender, where he would formulate his signature vision for Cognac, hone his craft, and develop the distillation method that would reveal the terroirs and grape varieties of the region. In 2020, Patrick was appointed Director of Operations of Marnier-Lapostolle Bisquit by Campari Group, which marked his triumphant return to the spirits world at the Maison Grand Marnier and Maison Bisquit & Dubouché.

In his role of Master Blender, Patrick oversees the global relaunch of Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac - the iconic, 200-year-old French brand, as well as the full Grand Marnier proposition, including supervising the launch of the Grand Marnier Grande Cuvées offerings, Quintessence and Révélation - Grand Marnier’s highest expressions made from the rarest and oldest hors d’âge Cognacs.

About Ajay:

As Director of Spirits at IronGate, Ajay is Canada's first Certified Whisky Ambassador, and Canada's first Certified Scotch Professional. Ajay is the Director of North American operations for the Whisky Ambassador Ltd. from Scotland, and has also co-developed the Advanced Whisky Ambassador Certification. He has also completed the Diploma in Single Malt whisky from the Edinburgh Whiskey Academy.

With a desire to learn more, his thirst grew from tasting and appreciation, to the history, craftsmanship and science of the spirit. Friends and colleagues would gather annually to taste and share knowledge around the malt. Pilgrimming in Scotland, he became a  Certified Whisky Ambassador, the first to receive this honor from Canada.

Today, his enthusiasm is channeled in spreading the message of the malt in either relaxed whisky appreciation events, sourcing single malt spirits, and offering professionals in the service industry an accreditated whisky education in Canada. He continues to learn so much, and as a student of the spirit his journey continues.
