About Halpern Enterprises:

Halpern Enterprises has been importing fine wines and spirits into Canada for over 65 years, making them one of the longest-standing businesses in Ontario. Established by Harold Halpern, a pharmacist by training, the company began modestly but swiftly built robust relationships with several European and New World wine producers, who have grown alongside their brand.

About Abadia Retuerta:

Founded in 1996, the winery features a state-of-the-art facility designed by Pascal Delbeck, an esteemed oenologist and consultant who also works with the renowned Château Ausone in Saint-Émilion. The winery employs advanced gravity-fed winemaking techniques.

The estate encompasses over 200 hectares of vineyards, predominantly planted with Tempranillo. It includes 54 distinct plots, each cultivated with specific varieties. The vineyards range from the banks of the Duero River to hillside slopes at elevations of 2,700 feet above sea level. The region experiences a highly continental climate with significant temperature fluctuations both diurnally and seasonally. Soil types vary across the estate, including gravel, alluvium, limestone, sand, and clay.
