About the Event
Osoyoos Larose is a traditional Bordeaux house in the Okanagan. Back in 1998, Groupe Taillan—co-owner of the prestigious Château Gruaud Larose in the Saint-Julien appellation, classified as a Deuxième Cru Classé in 1855—created the Osoyoos Larose estate on an 80-acre bench overlooking the magnificent Lake Osoyoos in the south Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, initially in partnership with Vincor Canada (now Arterra).
The pride of Osoyoos Larose, Le Grand Vin is the result of centuries-old Bordeaux tradition deployed on an exceptional Canadian terroir. Le Grand Vin is a Bordeaux-inspired blend that is barrel aged for 18 to 20 months and laid down for an additional six months after bottling. Made to be cellared for eight to ten years, this big, bold, red is characterized by ample tannins, good complexity and an elegant, long finish. It captures the warm, dry climate of the estate’s single block vineyard overlooking Osoyoos Lake.
Their inaugural vintage, Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin 2001, exceeded all expectations at home and abroad. Le Grand Vin 2001 raised the profile of all red wine produced in the South Okanagan and placed Osoyoos Larose on par with the world’s finest wine producers.
Join us in welcoming winemaker Michael Kullman, as he guides us through a Vertical Tasting of Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin. We'll taste back vintages dating back to 2011, and culminating with their current 2018 release. The Masterclass will be followed by a reception, where you'll be able to taste their second wine Osoyoos Larose Pétales d'Osoyoos, and chat and migle with fellow members.
Price: $75/p (+HST and gratuity)
