About the Event
Join the Barrel Hunter Club’s Curator-in-Chief, Master Sommelier John Szabo, for a mini-preview of the Barrel Hunter’s Club’s upcoming Limited “Garibaldi” Collection (coming fall 2025). Florence-based guest curator Katarina Andersson, wine writer and Ph.D in Italian history, has curated a selection of fine Italian wines tracing the steps of Giuseppe Garibaldi and “I Mille”, his army of one thousand volunteers, who managed the improbable feat of unifying the Italian Peninsula under King Vittorio Emanuele in 1861. Learn about the birth of Italy while exploring eight wines from three producers never before seen in Canada, made from grapes grown along Garibaldi’s path of unification.
